5AAB TV Productions Ltd. operates as a prominent national Punjabi channel in Canada. Founded with a vision to deliver culturally relevant programming, it is led by Gurbinder S Sandhu, who has over 14 years of experience residing in Canada. His dedication to broadcast media culminated in the launch of 5AAB TV in 2014. The channel is wholly owned and managed by Gurbinder S Sandhu and his family, maintaining studios in Amritsar, Jalandhar, Moga, Chandigarh, as well as Toronto.

5AAB TV specializes in providing high-quality Punjabi content tailored to the Canadian audience. Its programming portfolio includes news coverage, documentaries, discussions on local issues, and talk shows. The channel has established exclusive content partnerships with leading producers in India and Canada. Notably, 5AAB TV holds exclusive rights to broadcast a live daily feed from Gurudwara Chheharta Sahib in Punjab. This historic site is located seven kilometers west of Amritsar and is named after a well sunk by Guru Arjun Dev Ji (1563–1606). The well was renowned for its width, allowing six Persian wheels to operate simultaneously — hence the name Chheharta, meaning "having six Persian wheels." Although now covered, the well's water is still channeled to feed the main tank of the Gurudwara.

Chheharta has evolved into an industrial township and falls within the vicinity of Vadali Guru village, where Guru Arjun Dev Ji resided from 1594 to 1597. The Gurudwara complex encompasses a six-acre walled area featuring a divan hall with a central sanctum enclosed by a brass palisade. Above the sanctum is a square structure crowned with a lotus dome and a gold-plated pinnacle.
